The camp for those who want that extra bit of luxury. We’ve kept Governors’ IL Moran Camp small and intimate, with added touches that make this the top of the range safari. IL Moran is widely regarded as the premiere camp in the Masai Mara.
Hidden under ancient trees, deep in the forest, are just 10 tents. They line the winding banks of the Mara River. You’ll be the personal guest of our manager, who’ll look after all your needs.
The camp is situated along the banks of the Mara River, right in the heart of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, with the best game viewing right on your doorstep. Governors Il Moran Camp has been awarded a Silver Eco Rating by Eco Tourism Kenya for our environmental practices both in camp and with our neighboring community.
Day 1: Nairobi – Mara
Fly from Nairobi to Masai Mara aboard Air Kenya. On arrival, you will be met by Musiara staff before being transferred to the Governors Camp for lunch. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Il Moran Camp before taking an afternoon game drive.
Overnight stay at Governors’ Il Moran Camp – (Full board)
Day 2: Mara
Spend whole day in Masai Mara; two game drives with high chances of catching a glimpse of great Migration of wildebeests entering Mara from the Serengeti Plains in the South. Overnight stay at Governors’ Il Moran Camp – (Full board)
Day 3 – Mara – Nairobi
You will be scheduled to fly from the Mara back to Nairobi in a morning flight. There may be an option to take an early game drive or a balloon safari prior. Later, you will depart Kenya for the United States.
